Symbiotic radio (SR) backscatter is a possible low-power wireless communication technique for future Internet of Things devices. In this letter, multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) SR system proposed, where the secondary multi-antenna transmission from device (BD) to receiver riding on primary transmitter receiver. We investigate beamforming design optimization problem which maximizes sum capacity and transmissions under constraint transmission. MIMO system, each antenna BD reflects its received ambient frequency signals all transmitting antennas transmitter, causes that globally optimal solution difficult obtain. Here, we derive an algorithm obtain upper bound. Furthermore, considering both transmissions, propose exact penalty method based locally solution. Simulation results display proposed achieves close
